Ryanne Peterson is a therapist, speaker, and visionary dedicated to transforming the mental health experience for Black and Brown communities. She is the CEO of OIC Counseling and Wellness and the Director of Counseling Services at Bennett College. With nearly a decade of experience as a School Counselor, Ryanne specializes in helping youth, women, and organizations center healing, break stigmas, and build trauma-informed practices.
Ryanne is also the founder of MastHERpiece, a nonprofit supporting Black teen girls, and the creator of the Revive Black Mental Health Conference. As the Dean of the Durham Awesome Foundation, she helps fund innovative, joy-centered projects that enhance life in Durham, NC.
Her signature speaking style combines honesty, humor, and practical strategies, and her goal is simple: to empower individuals and institutions to prioritize wellness from the inside out.
